EXECUTIVE TEAM

Lauren Goodman

Executive Director

Lauren Goodman is the Executive Director for McCoy Adult Day Care. She has a Master's of Public Administration from UAB and a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Alabama. Roll Tide! She has over eight years of nonprofit management experience and has worked at several local nonprofit agencies. Lauren first joined the McCoy team in April 2014 as the Office Manager and later served as Day Care Director.  In June 2019, Lauren returned to McCoy as the Executive Director. Lauren is married to Rod Goodman and they have three children Laila, Zoey and Raylen. 

Vivian Story

Director

Vivian is our Director, previously the Program Manger. She joined the McCoy staff in May of 2016. She is also a graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her bachelor’s of art in social work and earned her masters in social work from Walden University. At McCoy Vivian believes that promoting self-awareness through daily activities and games and focusing on cognitive thinking and skills, clients are less stressed, less anxious and are focused on having a good time while being away from home for a few hours throughout the day. It is rewarding to know that caregivers can continue working, take time for themselves or get some rest while their loved one comes to the daycare.
